The Heavy Lift & Salvage Division of Weeks Marine, Inc. specializes in providing the spot market with onetime waterborne lift services. The lift services utilize the extensive Weeks Marine equipment inventory including floating cranes ranging from 35 to 500 ton, steel deck barges ranging in sizes from 90' x 30' to 250' x 75' with capacities from 250 to 5,000 ton, and tug boats with horsepower from 400 to 4,200.

The Division has developed its experience and engineering ability responding to a wide variety of requests from the maritime and commercial industries over the past four decades. The pedestal mount feature, which allows for the full rotation of our lift cranes, offers the most efficient system for repeat cycle tasks such as the loading or unloading of vessels. The capacity and reach of these cranes also makes them the most effective cranes for heavy lifts from ocean carriers. Additionally, they are well suited for working in narrow slips or channels where shear or stiff leg designs may be hampered by limited swing space or swift water currents.

Weeks Marine has experienced a great deal of success in providing lift services, marine salvage, vessel engine room lifts, and wreck removal over the past forty years. Having the proper equipment and knowledge has allowed for the safe handling of items valued in excess of $25 million with an impeccable claim and safety record. This ability has been achieved through carefully engineered proposals furnished to the owner and/or underwriter before commencement of the project.
