The Brownsville Entrance Channel project was performed for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District and was completed in 2008. The specification required the construction of near shore berms with the dredged material from the channel. Careful coordination was required to construct the berms to tight tolerances. This work included extensive environmental monitoring. The 4,000 cubic-yard hopper Dredge R.N. Weeks was used to complete this project.
