Delivering new container cranes to Department of Sanitation location in Brooklyn
In July of 2017, Weeks Marine’s towing and heavy lift expertise were among the many reasons the company was chosen the transport brand new container cranes from the New York State Department of Sanitation Transfer Station at East 91st Street in Manhattan to the Southwest Brooklyn Marine Transfer Station in Brooklyn, New York. To get the job done, the team used the Weeks 533 floating crane along with the Weeks 2900 and 2901 deck barges. Navigating the Weeks 533 into a few tight areas was among some of the challenges the team overcame to successfully deliver these vital pieces of equipment.
